Uma curiosidade: sabiam que o nome vem da compota (compota=jam) da avó Pearl do Eddie, que se dizia ser alucinogénica?

Pois é, viva a avó do Eddie, essa grande maluca. Dava alucinogénios ao netinho, para ele se sentir bem, lololol...

Os Pearl Jam fixaram uma fundação musical que ficaria a ser conhecida simplesmente por Grunge. A banda tomou forma depois da morte por overdose de heroína do vocalista dos Mother Love Bone. Após o sucedido o guitarrista Stone Gossard e o baixista Jeff Ament recrutaram o guitarrista solo Mike McCready, Dave Krusen para a bateria e Eddie Vedder para a voz... nasceram assim os Pearl Jam.

Instalados em Seattle, os Pearl Jam, juntamente com bandas como os Nirvana e os Soundgarden, abraçaram o objectivo de trazer a música alternativa para a frente da cultura americana. E vejam o resultado...

É uma das minhas bandas favoritas. Podia enumerar n músicas deles, mas há uma em especial, que me transmite muita tranquilidade, muita calma, muita emoção...
